According to business insider, Trump recently announced that the Government Efficiency Department (doge) has appointed william joseph mcginley as an adviser to the committee.

Department heads Elon Musk and vivek ramaswamy have begun sharing details of doge's work, promising to equip the committee with "a lean team of small government reformers". The doe tells interested people on the x account to attach their resume to a private message.

Several Silicon Valley leaders, including investor marc andreessen and uber co-founder travis kalanick, were reportedly involved in the committee's planning. The doge chiefs said they want to cut the $2 trillion federal budget. In 2024, federal spending totaled $6.75 trillion, nine-tenth of which went to federal projects.
