According to a Dogecoin Foundation post on the X platform on Sunday, developers are seeking several major sponsors for 2025, to fund the efforts to drive large-scale adoption. These donations will be used to build the Dogebox, a decentralized payment infrastructure designed to enhance the capacity of small and medium-sized businesses. The amount of money the developers plan to raise in 2025 is unclear. According to the Dogecoin Foundation, which was founded in 2021 and has received several undisclosed grants from Ethereum founder (VitalikButerin) and an anonymous Dogecoin holder. It is not clear whether these two donors will continue to sponsor the Dogecoin Foundation.
